To determine the number of years by which God has pronounced 

The House of Ephraim--Israel as 

'Lo-ammi'....."Not my People"?

This is the period in which God cut Himself off from the ten tribe House of Ephraim-Israel, pronouncing them through the prophet Hosea:  "Call his name Lo-ammi: for ye are not My People and I will not be your God."  God  reverses this condition in the place where he announced it, at the Gathering of The Whole House of Israel, the twelve tribes with the tribe of Levi. 

According to the chronicles of Bishop Ussher, God made them 'Not my people' on the date determined by the following statement recorded by Hosea in ch.1 verse 8:

Now when Gomer had weaned Loruhamah, she conceived, and bare a son. Then said God, Call his name Lo-ammi: for ye are not my people, and I will not be your God. [This name symbolises the destruction of the dynasty of Jehu, king of Ephraim-Israel.]

Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people, there it shall be said unto them, Ye are the sons of the living God. Then shall the children of Judah and the children of Israel be gathered together, and appoint themselves one head, and they shall come up out of the earth [Ezekiel ch.37. Both v.1 to 14 and v.15 to 28]: for great shall be the day of Jezreel. [Hosea 1:9-11]

[The valley of Jezreel is the place where Jehu seized the throne of Ephraim-Israel. It is probably the place where this statement of God was made before them and will therefore also be the place where ' the children of Judah and the children of Israel be gathered together, and appoint themselves one head, and they shall come up out of the earth']

This Lo-ammi condition upon the Children of Israel[The House of Ephraim] began around the year in 700bc, and the statement by God: 'Ye are the Sons of The Living God' reversing the condition will be made in the future when God again seeks to establish The Kingdom in Israel, in The Last Days. This period of Lo-ammi is a time when these ten tribes are scattered in the World [Deut 4:27, Hosea 1:9, Joel 3:1-3] for a purpose of God yet to be revealed.  Christ told the story of The Prodigal Son to his disciples explaining this condition of separation: 

Jesus Christ said, A certain man had two sons: And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living. 

And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living.  And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want.  And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine.  And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him.  

And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!  I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee,  And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants. 

And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him. And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.  

But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet:   And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry:  For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.  

Now his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew nigh to the house, he heard musick and dancing.  And he called one of the servants, and asked what these things meant.  And he said unto him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him safe and sound.  

And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and intreated him.  And he answering said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, neither transgressed I at any time thy commandment: and yet thou never gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends:  But as soon as this thy son was come, which hath devoured thy living with harlots, thou hast killed for him the fatted calf.  

And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine.   It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.     Luke 15:11

The number associated with this condition of separation is 40, by which the chief example is the separation and testing of The Christ when, being in the wilderness for 40 days, His faith was tested by Satan himself.

In order to calculate the time span of this condition imposed upon The House of Ephraim, we need to know (1) the date upon which the pronouncement was made and (2) the date upon which it will be ended.

1.  There are two main sources which we can draw upon to determine the start date, that of Bishop Ussher and that of Dr. Bullinger. The former gives the date as: 785bc., the latter: 683bc [allowing 6years from 689bc to the birth of the third child named Lo-ammi]. These dates differ radically forcing us to consider another basis upon which we can make a true assessment.

2.  In order to discover the end date we must first determine the date when God again takes up the affairs of  Israel. On another page this question has been considered in some depth. The Godly affairs of Israel cannot again begin until God reverses His condemnation of Spiritual blindness and deafness upon the two tribes, Judah and Benjamin [the House of Judah]. This will occur during the year 2022ad, fourteen years, or two shemittahs, before Israel's 71st Jubilee in 2036ad.[Isaiah 35:4-5] For the details of how these dates have been determined see the tables and the CHARTS.

During the study of God's action in gathering [Heb: qabats] The Tribes of Israel, it became clear that the two tribes of the House of Judah have priority, being gathered some time before the other ten tribes of the House of Ephraim-Israel. During the 14years [two Shemittahs of 7years] between God's reversal of the Spiritual blindness and deafness* of Judah in 2022ad and the 70th Jubilee in 2036ad, there is much time for God to perform the gathering of the remaining ten tribes[The House of Ephraim-Israel]. 

Having determined the date upon which The House of Judah will again have Spiritual sight and hearing in 2022ad, we must allow a period before God resurrects The House of Ephraim-Israel. A shemittah of 7years is a reasonable estimate, thus allowing a further 7years before the celebration at the 71st Jubilee. The Lo-ammi condition will end therefore, in 2029ad.

As a starting point, we should acknowledge that the dates upon which this Lo-ammi condition began could have been at the time of 785bc[Ussher] or 683bc[Bullinger].

Bullinger.........683bc - 1(allowance for change from bc to ad) + 2029ad = 2711years

Ussher.............785bc - 1(allowance for change from bc to ad) + 2029ad = 2813years

The point has been made that the figure 40 is associated with separation and testing. Dividing the two periods, each by 40 will indicate another factor of importance by which God will have determined this length of time. 

Bullinger..........2711 divided by 40 = 67 with 21years remaining

Ussher............2813 divided by 40 = 70 with 13years remaining

It has been written that 70 bears the significance of  7 and 10 in an intensified form. 'Hence 7 x 10 signifies perfect Spiritual order carried out with all Spiritual power and significance. Both Spirit and Order are greatly emphasised.'

Thus 40 x 70 is Intense Spiritual Order[70] in the Separation and Testing[40] of The House of Ephraim-Israel. These figures are undoubtedly the correct factors for this period of Lo-ammi', giving 2800years

It appears that Bishop Ussher's timing is nearer to the actual date upon which God cut Himself off from the ten tribe House of Ephraim-Israel, pronouncing them through the prophet Hosea:  "Call his name Lo-ammi: for ye are not My People and I will not be your God."

From the date of 2029ad upon which God will reverse this condition by His pronouncement: ''You are My People", we can now recognise the date upon which God told Hosea the prophet:

 For the children of [Ephraim-]Israel shall abide many days without a king, and without a prince, and without a sacrifice, and without an image, and without an ephod, and without teraphim: Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the LORD their God, and David their king; and shall fear the LORD and his goodness in The Last Days.  Hosea 3:4

This date is: 2800 - 2029 + 1 [adjustment bc to ad] = 772 bc.

In order to arrive at this conclusion, in the light of all previous study relating to the date of God's intervention which ends this present Administration of His Grace, it was assumed that one shemittah, 7years, would pass before the Lo-ammi condition was reversed in 2029ad.  

A.  To make one final check, the factors of the time between 772bc and 4bc, the date of the birth of The Christ in 4bc, were considered......768years.

The factors of 768 are  8 . 8 . 12

having a meaning of enhanced resurrection or regeneration[8] under government perfection[12]

B.  Should the date when God again accepts Ephraim Israel as His People be 2027ad, not 2029ad, then the date of separation would be 774bc. This would mean that 770years were to pass until the birth of The Christ in 4bc. 

The factors of 770 are 2 . 5 . 7 . 11 

indicating that God, acting in Grace[5], imposed division[2] making The Whole House of Israel incomplete[11] in order to attain Spiritual perfection[7].

C.  The remainder of the time, if having accepted 770years, is 2030 years from the birth of Christ to the reversal of the Lo-ammi condition is 2030 years.

The factors of 2030 are 29 . 2 . 5 . 7

The remaining years of expectancy and judgemant[29] under division[2] by God's Grace[5] results in completeness and perfection[7].  

The meaning associated with the 770 years carries more conviction in relation to the circumstances of The House of Ephraim-Israel, particularly when considering the factors of the residual years of 2030. The conclusion therefore must be that God's declaration Ye are the sons of the living God will be made in the year 2027ad, two years before 2029ad at which time God declares Arise Shine for thy light is come and The Glory of The Lord is risen upon thee, thus fulfilling Hosea's prophesy:

Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people, there it shall be said unto them, Ye are the sons of the living God. Then shall the children of Judah and the children of Israel be gathered together, and appoint themselves one head, and they shall come up out of the earth [Ezekiel ch.37. Both v.1 to 14 and v.15 to 28]: for great shall be the day of Jezreel. [Hosea 1:9-11]

The result of this study can be shown graphically:

The calculation of these dates, has been shown to depend upon two reasonable assumptions concerning the duration and end of the Lo-ammi period:

a  The Lo-ammi condition of the House of Ephraim-Israel will last for 70 x 40 years = 2800yrs. This figure is founded upon two facts:

1. The period is a multiple of 40, this figure being that of isolation and testing.

2. The period is a multiple of 70, emphasising an act of God according to His order.

b  the period could end in either 2029ad  at the end of the first Shemittah of 7years from the time that The House of Judah is again given Spiritual sight and hearing in 2022ad, when the Last Days re-commence, or

2027ad, when the factors of the period up to the birth of The Christ give good reason for it to be more acceptable. This prepares for the year of the 71st Jubilee in 2036ad, when the resurrected King David will make the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem.

*The Spiritual deafness and blindness of The House of Judah was pronounced by the Apostle Paul in the year 62ad. This is recorded in Acts 28:26-28. From the beginning of this condemnation in 62ad to the time of its reversal [Isaiah 35:4-5] in 2022ad is 1960years. The length of this period is accepted upon consideration of its factors:  40 x 49....40 Jubilees. There is no doubt that the Jubilee is the most important yardstick in which the affairs of Israel are measured. There is also no doubt that the last 1900 years have been a testing time for Israel. To find both these figures as factors of this 1960years convinces us that 2022ad will end the condemnation of Spiritual blindness and deafness upon the House of Judah, the Jews.
