STANZA 4 AND 5 OF ENOCH'S APOCALYPSE OF WEEKS

IN THE BOOK OF ENOCH

CORRECTION APPLIED TO THE INTERPRETATION OF R.H.CHARLES

 

 

Chapter 93]   as determined by R.H.Charles

  1. 4  And after me there shall arise in the second week great wickedness, 

  2. And deceit shall have sprung up; 

  3. And in it there shall be the first end. 

  4. And in it a man shall be saved; 

    5.

  5. And after it is ended unrighteousness shall grow up,

  6. And a law shall be made for the sinners.

 

  1. 5.  And after that in the third week at its close

  2. A man shall be elected as the plant of righteous judgement, 

  3. And his posterity shall become the plant of righteousness for evermore.

after consideration relating to the generations in the Book of Genesis.

Abraham's Election is found in Genesis chapter 17:

When Abram was ninety years old and nine, The lord appeared unto Abram and said unto him: I am The Almighty God, walk before me; and be thou perfect, and I will make my covenant between thee and me, and will multiply thee exceedingly  And Abram fell on his face and God talked with him saying: As for me, behold my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations. Neither shalt thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.

1948 + 99 =  2047.........53 years before the end of the third Enochian week......'At its close'.  

Later, at the time God tested Abraham, He was told:

By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son: That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.

The date of this blessing would have been almost at the closing date of the third week 2100 years
