  Spiritual Food

Introduction

We approach the end of this Administration of God's Grace. The re-establishment of The Kingdom of God in the true House of Judah will shortly begin. The basic timing elements of God's activity indicate that many people living to-day will experience this Godly event.

We, as Christians will be the target of The Evil One's deceits as he seeks to take advantage of this change. In this article we will look at just one fundamental action that he has been planning over many years.

Many, many Christians, particularly those who adhere to an Evangelical, Charismatic or Pentecostal doctrine have often spoken of 'a latter rain', referring to a second outpouring of The Holy Spirit. They look forward to this with eagerness seeing, in many present day activities, what they believe is the beginning of this outpouring. They are right to recognise that there is a coming change in God's plans, but fail to recognise the warnings concerning this change which He has shown in His Word.

The Evil One is a master of counterfeit, by which he seeks to take full control of his world by deceitfully introducing his own kingdom. He has prepared a 'latter rain' of spirit activity which will engulf all mankind. To this end, he has commanded the help of a number of demonic and world organisations to prepare peoples minds for its acceptance.

The belief structure of many of those Christians mentioned above is wide open to this deceit. In fact they have been led to accept and welcome it. 

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.  

For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,  Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,  Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;  Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.  

For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.  

But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as their's also was.   TI2 3:1 

Spiritual Food

It is evident that a series of deceits, of which a counterfeit of this 'latter rain' is the last, will be the tools by which the Evil One will seek to establish his kingdom over the earth.  The Last Days, which have been held in abeyance since 62ad when all activity relating to The Kingdom of God in Israel was halted, will shortly begin again under the conditions described in the apostle Paul's second letter to Timothy.  God's warning announced by Paul, tells us that 'perilous times will come', where the word 'perilous' [gk: chalepos] indicates serious demonic activity [Mat 23:8]. Paul continues telling Timothy:

This know that in the last days......as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses so do these resist the Truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.

The angelic powers of Egypt were able to counterfeit three of God's judgements brought upon Pharaoh and the land of Egypt, in order to persuade Pharaoh to release The Children of Israel. These powers of Egypt attempted to maintain authority over the Israelites persuading both the Pharaoh and his people that their power was at least equal to that of God's. At the fourth attempt however, they failed.

The last action of these angelic powers which brought the series of counterfeits to an end was the bringing up of 'frogs upon the land of Egypt'. When they attempted their fourth counterfeit by smiting 'the dust of the land that it may become lice', they failed. They explained to Pharaoh that their failure was due to: 'This is the finger of God'. Thus their resistance to God's action in Truth was ended. 

By this example, it is shown that the coming deceitful actions of The Evil One will be terminated when God intervenes. At this point He will enlighten all mankind regarding the Truth concerning His Dearly Beloved Son.

But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all, as theirs also was.

Frogs symbolise the deceitful action of demons[Rev. 16:13]. Together with God's first two actions before Pharaoh and the corresponding counterfeits by the Magi of Egypt, these three actions are symbolic of those which will take place prior to the manifestation of The Lord Jesus Christ at the conclusion of this present Administration of God's Grace.

This fact is not that which most Christians have been led to believe. They are Hoping that in the near future The Lord Jesus Christ will return to physically establish His Kingdom over the earth. But, this is the very action which the Evil One plans to counterfeit by establishing his own authority. The prophet Isaiah tells us that: 'the enemy shall come in like a flood'[Isaiah 59:19]. This demonic action will engulf the world, influencing many Christians.

Christians of the Charismatic Churches have been led to cry out to God that He should bless them with the Spiritual gifts described by the Apostle Paul in his letter to the Corinthian Church, written during the introduction of The Kingdom of God in Israel. The gifts of tongues, healing, prophecy, Interpretation of Tongues, the word of wisdom and knowledge, faith and the working of miracles. All given to the churches of that period to 'build up the Kingdom of God'

Christians to-day are encouraged to walk by faith alone and not by sight. Those weak in faith seek things that they can touch, taste, smell and see in order to boost their belief. However, it is well said that to-day we live at a time when God is totally silent, related by one physical miracle only, His God Breathed Word.

'Christ said: .....because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed' [John 20:29]

For we walk by faith and not by sight. [2Cor 5:7]

Faith is the foundation of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen [Heb 11:1]

Paul emphasises this present walk by faith alone when he tells us that:

Unto me, who am the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Nations the untraceable riches of Christ

He warned about those who opposed what he had revealed when he referred to certain Christians saying:

'Many walk of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: Whose end is destruction, whose god is their belly and whose glory is their shame, who mind earthly things'. [Phil. 3:18]

These Christians seek a spiritual satisfaction in things they can experience with their senses, at a time when God has indicated that they should not be used, because of the deceit which can lead believers from The Truth. Knowingly or unknowingly they practice the powers of Gaia, even as Elymas did before Sergius Paulus, the proconsul.

Luke writing his record of The Acts of The Apostles records an example of the use of 'earthly things' (ta epigeia) to manifest 'magic arts' (mageuOn). This is described in Acts 8:9. A certain man, by name Simon, when using this power was described by the people of Samaria as 'This one is the power of God which is great'. An obvious counterfeit of the gifts of The Spirit of God. The character of the user, Simon, is given by Peter: 'the heart of thee is not right before God.....for in a gall of bitterness and a bond of unrighteousness I see thee to be' even though Simon was a believer and was baptised.

This is a warning to all those Christians who mistakenly honour what appear to be the Godly gifts listed above and seek to attempt to obtain them, knowingly or unknowingly.  God withdrew the true gifts in 62ad, after their purpose was fulfilled during the period of the Acts of The Apostles when The Christ was working with them to establish The Kingdom in Israel. The Kingdom preparation ceased on that date when the Jews were deprived of their Spiritual understanding. 

Powerful miracles associated with The Earthbound Power['earthly things'] are always available, but as Paul has explained, they have no Godly legality at this time. These Christians fail to discern between Good and Evil. They concentrate upon the sincere milk of The Word, Evangelism and Fellowship without having their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. They are unable to digest this 'strong meat' because of their traditions, believing that their limited vision is all Truth. 

They will probably reject the warnings in this article, believing that the majority cannot be wrong because their 'system' holds a complete understanding of The God Breathed Word. This is a Pharasaical attitude, being resistant to the flow of Truth. [Hebrews 5:11-14. See also here]

We might ask ourselves 'Why does Paul weep ?' It is evident that those Christians who involve themselves in this deceit can play no part in the blessings of God's plans. They are enemies of the humility of Christ, desiring an outward show of self. This would cause any faithful Christian to weep. We sincerely hope that God will enable such to perceive The Truth.

Demonic activity is also present to-day. There are spirit manifestations which have been experienced over many years. Perhaps the most spectacular are those:

These also are shameful activities, showing a lack of real faith and a concentration and dependence upon the belly.

This present day attitude of some Christians requiring the sustenance of a previous Administration, reminds us of that with which the Israelites were confronted in the wilderness. During their forty year wanderings, before being allowed to enter the promised land, God provided for their well being. He said:

I have led you forty years in the wilderness: your clothes are not waxen old upon you, and thy shoe is not waxen old upon thy foot. Ye have not eaten bread neither have ye drunk wine or strong drink; that ye may know that I am the Lord your God. [Deut 29:5]

In all the forty years they had not eaten bread because God had provided the manna from heaven, as the Israelites called it: 'a small thing'. However there was a time when this diet of manna caused the Israelites to cry out to God for they remembered their time in Egypt when they eat flesh:

The  children of Israel wept and said, Who shall give us flesh to eat? We remember the fish that we did eat in Egypt freely.... but now our soul is dried away; there is nothing at all, beside this manna, before our eyes.

And Moses heard the people weep throughout their families....and the anger of The Lord was kindled greatly.....And The Lord said unto Moses, Say thou unto the people, Sanctify yourselves against tomorrow, and ye shall eat flesh: for ye have wept in the ears of The Lord saying, Who shall give us flesh to eat? for it was well with us in Egypt: therefore The Lord will give you flesh, and ye shall eat. Ye shall .... eat even a whole month until it come out of your nostrils, and it be loathsome unto you: because that ye have despised The Lord which is among you, and have wept before Him.

And there went forth a wind from The Lord, and brought quails from the sea, and let them fall by the camp .... And the people gathered the quails, And while the flesh was yet between their teeth, ere it was chewed, the wrath of The Lord was kindled against the people, and the Lord smote the people with a very great plague.......There they buried the people that lusted.    [Num 11:4 to 34]

The wrath of God fell upon the Israelites because they deeply desired those things associated with their past time in Egypt. They should have looked forward to the promise of the New Land in Canaan. and have recognised the Spiritual provision of the manna as God's complete sustenance for them. To-day our Spiritual provision is The Bread of Life, even The Word of God, giving us complete Spiritual sustenance. This miracle of God is set against the claim of some Christians that they have no need of it, because they mistakenly accept that [the demonically activated] gifts are all they need.

We Christians to-day should recognise that the past period when God initiated the Kingdom in Israel, was the time when He gave all the necessary facilities for the establishment of that Kingdom and its ekklEsias ['churches']. God used all His persuasions to encourage His people, the House of Judah, the Jews, to receive not only Himself but the prepared Kingdom also.  This failed because:

the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. [Acts 28:27]

From this assessment, God brought upon the House of Judah, His chosen people, the following condemnation:

Hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see and not perceive.

Thus the Kingdom activity was suspended. The true Jews to-day suffer from this Godly imposed ignorance, although at the time in which the kingdom was being built up, Salvation could only be found amongst them. As Jesus Christ told the Samaritan woman:

Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for Salvation is of the Jews.

At the same time as the Jews were condemned, losing their Spiritual perception, God commissioned the Message of Salvation to all the nations.

The Salvation of God is commissioned unto the nations. [Acts 28:28]

opening to them at that time in 62ad, the Gospel of John:

Many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book: but these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is The Christ, The Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through His name. [John 20: 30-31]

Thus a new Administration of God was founded in that year. It had never been prophesied or revealed, not even in heaven amongst the heavenly ones. Paul tells us that it was his responsibility

if you have heard of the Administration of the Grace of God which has been given to me for you..........that I should make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, Who created all things by Jesus Christ. [Eph 3:9]

Although Paul's missionary journeys had taken him through present day Turkey and Greece, meeting and converting many people to faith in The Lord Jesus Christ, when he writes to the Christians in Ephesus and Colosse after 62ad, he states that he had not met them face to face.

Wherefore......after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus.....cease not to give thanks for you. [Eph:15]

I would that you knew what great conflict I have for you and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh. [Col 2:1]

These are extraordinary statements considering the time he had spent in Ephesus. It tells us that these were new Christians, generated by the Gospel of John during the beginning of this new and present Administration of God's Grace.

That we should be to the praise of His glory, who first trusted in Christ. In whom ye also, after that ye heard the Word of Truth, the gospel of your Salvation: In whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise. [Eph 1:13]

In the presence of this new Administration, we to-day have no part in the previous act of God when He was setting up the Kingdom in Israel, nor any of the gifts which are directly associated with the children of that Kingdom. Just as the Jews had left behind the things of Egypt, so we should not wrongly divide The Word of God by desiring many of those things of a previous Administration.

This present Administration of God's Grace will end:

When Christ Who is our life shall appear, then also shall we appear with Him in glory [Col 3:4]

or as Paul says when writing to Christian Jews and quoting Isaiah:

Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. [Eph 5:14]

Arise shine for thy light is come and the glory of The Lord is risen upon thee. [Isaiah 60:1]

This action of God will end this present Administration of God's Grace, but immediately before it ends he tells the House of Judah, that:

Behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people. [Isaiah 60:2]

When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of The Lord shall lift up a Standard against him. [Isaiah 59:19]

Paul warns us of this very difficult yearly period when he says:

Put on the whole armour of God that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the Devil,......the whole armour of God that you may be able to stand in the Evil Day.....praying always with all prayer and supplication in The Spirit for all saints.  [Eph 6:11-18]

Even as the Israelites were judged when they ignored the manna, the Spiritual food, by demanding the meat of the quails, so those Christians to-day, by disregarding, or at the best desiring only the milk of The Scripture, ignoring the strong meat of our Spiritual food, cry out for that which God will not provide in this present Administration. They will face the flood of the demonic action of the enemy believing that it is God's provision. 

As we have said, many Christians are to-day mistakenly seeking to propagate the desire for the gifts of God listed in Paul's letter to the Corinthians. Many are persistent to the extent of 'Holding down the Truth in unrighteousness'. We should pray that they will recognise this demonic deceit before their end results in destruction. [Phil 3:18-19]
