When Iniquity was found in The Covering Cherub
The thing which hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun. Is there anything whereof it may be said: ‘See this is new ?’ It hath been already of old time, which was before us. There is no remembrance of former things; [Ecc 1:9]
Thus did Solomon tell us that we cannot today claim to have discovered anything new because it had already been discovered in ’old time’. He describes this ’old time’ as that in which ‘former things’ cannot be called to mind.
Many Christians have come to believe that this ‘old time’ is the period from the six days of forming and creating things on the Earth to the Universal Flood, But how can this be if there is a detailed Scripture record of all that occurred before that time when Solomon tells us that there will be no remembrance, when there is a clear record of the creation and forming of the Earth, the generation of Adam and Eve and the patriarchs, the rebellion of the angels, the preparation of Noah’s ark and the judgement of the flood ? The ‘former things’ must therefore refer to that which occurred before the making and creating of Adam, even before the Earth became ‘without form and void’ [Gen 1:2].
The Hebrew of the word ’void’ is found only three times in the whole of Scripture, here, Ish 34:11 and Jer 4:23.. In both the latter cases it is used in a judgemental sense, the outcome of wrongdoing. Thus the condition of the Earth as ‘without form and void’, is the result of wrong doing in the ‘former things’.
In Ezekiel 28:14, Satan, the tempter of Eve, under the pseudonym of The King of Tyrus, is described by God in the following manner:
Thou art the anointed cherub that covers; and I have set thee so: you were upon the Holy Mountain of God; you have walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. You were perfect in your ways from the day when you were created, till iniquity was found in you.
His heart was lifted up because of his beauty and he has corrupted his wisdom by reason of his splendour. giving light. [Hb. Ezek 28:17] He is the ruler of the present World Order, of which all the nations serve him [Mat 4:8]. God gave him to be the source of all light to this world. Following his corruption he has, and will have, sought to regain his place and authority, counterfeiting God’s Word by the introduction of such devices as a false Israel, the Antichrist and Babylon the Great.
For Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light [2Cor 11:14]
God tells us that angels are identified with the stars [Rev 1:20 and 8:12]. In the case of the Solar System, the sun is our star, representing Satan himself. and during ‘the time of the ‘former things’, his splendour, his giving of light, was corrupted.
The creation scientist Barry Snetterfield has shown from recorded evidence that the beginning of that corruption occurred before Adam was created. That beginning is known as the phenomenon of the Red Shift in the spectrum of light.
The decrease in the speed of light has the effect of shifting the frequency of light from distant galaxies to the red end of the spectrum, just like the Doppler effect.
He says that when the evidence is plotted as a graph,
The most likely curve for the decrease in speed is now thought to be the square root of a ’damped oscillation curve’ which gives a very good fit to the observed results and for which there is good theoretical support.
The diagram in the centre pages of this leaflet is a copy of the shape and form of this curve with its ‘red shift origin’ in relation to our Gregorian dating system. Satan’s rebellion coincides with the beginning of the Red Shift and continues during the following 451 years, ending in God’s judgement:
The Earth became formless and empty. [Genesis ch.1 v.2]
This is confirmed by God’s gematria in the factors of 11 and 41 [see By Grace No:66 and 68] indicating disorder and rebellion.
